Terms of Service

By creating a Resonn account or using resonn.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using Resonn on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Resonn is an interview-preparation platform that tailors your resume to job descriptions, identifies gaps, and coaches you through the interview process. It is operated by Michael Henning out of Lincoln, California, USA. Features include tailored resume generation, ATS optimization, cover letters, interview preparation, and voice practice.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Resonn. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and lawful to share.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at mike@resonn.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

Resonn offers Free, Pro ($19/month or $49/quarter), and Pro+ ($39/month or $99/quarter) tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe. Your subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless canceled.

Plan changes

If you upgrade mid-cycle (e.g. Pro to Pro+), you're charged a prorated difference immediately and the upgrade takes effect right away. If you downgrade or cancel, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan's access until then. No partial-period refunds apply to downgrades or cancellations (see Refunds below).

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, email mike@resonn.ai within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund, processed within 5–10 business days. After 7 days, we don't offer refunds for partial billing periods or unused features — but you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of your current billing period. In rare cases of billing errors, contact mike@resonn.ai and we'll make it right.

Price changes

We may change prices for new subscriptions at any time. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

Optional Voice Practice add-on: a one-time $9 charge available to Pro+ subscribers, crediting an additional 60 minutes of Voice Practice usable through the end of the current month.

You agree NOT to:

• Use Resonn to create false, misleading, or fraudulent resumes
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the service or its outputs at scale
• Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Upload content you don't have rights to
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, security features, or paywalls
• Use the service for any illegal purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

You retain ownership of all content you upload (resume content, work history, job descriptions). By using Resonn, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display this content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train AI models.

Resonn's brand, design, code, templates, and AI-generated suggestions are owned by Michael Henning. You may use AI-generated resume content for your own job search. You may not resell, redistribute, or use Resonn's templates or interface designs in competing products.

Resonn uses AI to generate suggested resume content. While we work to ensure quality, AI outputs can contain errors, inaccuracies, or fabricated details. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy before using it in job applications. Resonn is not responsible for any consequences of unverified AI content.

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages from time to time. We are not liable for losses resulting from service unavailability.

You may terminate your account anytime in Settings → Privacy & Data. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

Resonn is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that using Resonn will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment success.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resonn's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Resonn and Michael Henning from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Placer County, California, unless required otherwise by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Resonn after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
